Most likely a misunderstanding by using the word registration instead of Vin.
Yes, probably the poster was misled by what the dealer told them.
My dealer not only allocated a registration he also taxed the car before it had arrived with them.
At my expense too.

My dealerships have always phoned me on the cars arrival with a choice of registrations available..

I ordered Mokka e Ultimate over the weekend of 25 March and was told the est delivery would be 31 July. The link to Aston Vauxhall Vauxhall Factory Order Lead Times Product Updates and News suggests it will be wk 40, end of Sept.
Large discrepancy - which to believe?
There lies, my Mokka e bought in January was March, then April, then May, then June now no date the dealership say they no nothing, and are more than happy to cancel it, they have over 100 late and unknown cars.

Many a true word.

The longer you have to wait for something,
the more you will appreciate it when it finally arrives. o_O

Is anyone else going through the same problems with getting a delivery date for the mokka it was ordered 3 months ago and we give a date of 24th April now I've been informed by the dealer they can't get any information from vauxhall about delivery this is bloody awful service

Thread merged.
I've contacted vauxhall directors board, sick of waiting now(Jan 17th 2022) my car was scheduled to be built last week, but today told it wasn't made, as the components needed are not there. The lady there seems to be helpful, and directly updates me now on a Wednesday.

Does anyone else see the amazon adverts in this thread coming up in German or is it just me?

Cheers, they must be digging around in stuff they shouldn't be to target their ads.

Just heard the new car has left purfleet docks, should be with the dealership early next week.
Are they pushing it?
It must be quite nerve-wracking after such a wait.

So it appears that Vauxhall are not the only one with a problem and it could be much worse.
Drivers intending to make the switch to an electric vehicle are discovering they might have to wait a minimum of 12 months before they can get behind the wheel of a new car due to a shortage of availability. CLICK

I have just received the following from the dealer - ordered end of March 2022 -

I have checked on the Mokka for you and it is still showing delivery for 31st July, I will keep checking it and any updates I will let you know. I would like to think I will be updating you more regularly now its getting closer to the delivery date.

He also commented on the Motability issues which have been mentioned

Yeah Motability ones are taking a lot longer to come. Manufacturers are prioritizing retail sales and not fleet, unfortunately for motability customers motability are classed as a fleet company.

I ordered a Mokka-E Ultimate in Grey on the first Sunday in March, at that time the dealer told me last week of April or First week of May - I didn't believe them as I had already been checking the vauxhall lead times and knew that early June was more likely, when early May came and went my dealer offered to swap me onto a car one of their management team had on order from the first week of Feb (so about a month ahead of my order), which I took up - it is an Ultimate in Red - I was told it was on event 25 and ETA showing as late July.

Weeks went by and I was still event 25, until yesterday (20th June) when it suddenly went back to event 21, the ETA has now moved to September.

I emailed the CEO of vauxhall and within 24 hours a minion got back to me (minion perhaps sounding more derogatory than I mean it to) - it was a swift reply and at least I wasn't ignored but basically they told me that they can't tell me anything more than my dealer has and I just have to wait - not very helpful really - all I am asking is they help to manage expectations a bit rather than keep assigning dates they must know they can't hit.

Constantly making decisions on how much petrol to fill up my car, being ultra cautious with the part exchange vehicle, having to make decisions about insurance, mot's service etc that didn't even dream would be needed when the order was first placed.

It's just all very frustrating, but I get that it isn't really anyone's fault (except maybe Putin!) but still, I think we are entitled to be frustrated.

I'm also waiting for a VW ID3 and have been since last September, their logic about the order in which they fulfil orders defies common sense and logic. According to the dealer when I ordered it, he thought I would be driving it in February. At least when I ordered the Mokka E Ultimate in mid May I was warned that six months would be the expected delay and that was "confirmed" on the VX website. Semi conductors, wiring looms, Putin and lithium battery supply problems are all playing a negative part.

I wouldn't hold your breath you will see your Mokka-E in November unless they really start to speed things up!
