Hi all ordered mokka 1.2 suto on February 9th was told by sales would be 12 weeks had email from dealers yesterday to be told that a built date is not even in site yet so no date for car to be built some body somewhere must no when it going to get built so for now just keep hoping it happens

What is shocking is that they won't say how many cars are in front of you.
There might be an exception where they slightly change the production line to make a batch of EVs but I imagine it should be first come first served despite certain dealers seemingly telling certain customers they are a priority.
I can see where someone might have wanted to save a few quid and ordered something below top of the range which Vauxhall have since pulled, they might be pushed back as the replacement order goes to the back of the queue but agsin that doesn't make a lot of sense. If the car hasn't got a build slot allocated to it then whatever changes you might make or have forced upon you, shouldn't affect your place in the queue.

Perhaps the dealers are asking the wrong question. Has your car got a build slot?
No yesterday, no today and no for the next 3 months.
How many vehicles are ahead of you will change daily and there is no reason why they can't say what the number is and how many cars will be built per day.

All I'm saying is you should perhaps guide the dealer into asking a better question and they might give you a more tangible answer.

I ordered a Mokka e SRI (since changed to a GSLine) on the 30/112021. We were advised then it would be 4 to 6 months. I collect Wednesday 25/5, almost 6 months to the day.
When you look over the car and realise a lot is missing on the GS do not be afraid to reject it.
They should have upgraded you not downgraded.

Good luck.

I was led to believe the spec was like for like and just a name change to match what Opel use.

Thanks. I was led to believe it's a like for like spec and just a name change to match Opel specs.
It's essentially the Griffin spec which a few years back was advertised in such a way that people were expecting it to have everything but it was closer to having next to nothing.
The few bits that they did have were given pride of place in the adverts with the missing bits being quickly glossed over.

I'm pretty sure there is a thread on here where a lady has one, she's happy with it but I'm uncertain what the original order was for.

I might be mistaken but I thought the SRi had a decent spec.

Best thing to do is produce a list of everything you're expecting it to have like parking sensors, satnav, headlight type etc.
Hopefully you have an email or something with the spec you were expecting.

If you were led to believe, I would assume you have that in writing?

I’ve had a new Mokka-e on order since end of Feb; I was originally given an April delivery date and that’s gradually been pushed out by a few weeks until last week, when the expected date became 20 May.

in the last few days my dealer has told me that the date has been now changed to ‘awaiting date’, which, when pushed, they told me means a delay with a date suitable far out that they can’t give me a reliable indication yet. 😕
I ordered Mokka e on the 2nd of February was told 3/4 months yesterday I was told Xmas 2022 , I have a manufacturer order number but it is of little use, can’t access “tracking website “ just curious to know when the dealership ordered the car, but l have found out that Motability cars are at the back of the queue, no surprise there, 90% of the country think it’s a free car ! I would gladly have none of the excruciating pain of RA the uncertainty of having heart failure twice , I am now at the point of couldn’t give a flying **** about cars Motability or otherwise, it’s bad enough using a wheelchair and people talking to you like you are stupid, then the others when you park in a disabled car park space, oh look a free car, love those people so much their ankles are so vulnerable to wheelchairs,

There have been a number of articles regarding difficulty for wheelchair users accessing the public charge points.
Have you been to any to ensure you can get to the bits you need to or would you be entirely reliant on charging from home?
This is something people sadly overlook hntil it's too late.

Sorry to read of your dissatisfaction with Vauxhall and its dealership. I have no idea who supplied you with the information " l have found out that Motability cars are at the back of the queue" as according to the Motability Website "As the current supply challenges are a global issue affecting most manufacturers, whether you order a car through the Motability Scheme, either with or without a charitable grant, or privately at a dealership, it will be subject to the same delivery lead times and delays."

Motability Website with lots of questions and answers. Vehicle supply issues and delayed orders: Your questions answered

Got a call from dealer yesterday saying they have a delivery date for my mokka on 12th July which was ordered beginning of march so hopefully it’ll turn up & also called them today about model change from Sri to gs line which they say is the same ??? But assured me if I ordered Sri I’ll get Sri model /spec 🤞🏻

Someone else has stated that they were downgraded to the GS.
I'm not clear what spec the SRi actually is.

Could you list everything you are expecting it to have over a basic model and hopefully we'll be able to determine what the differences are.
For example satnav, wheels, heated seats, heated steering wheel, phone charger, type of headlights etc

I have spoken to the car dealer again, he has said that I have now been allocated a registration, the car is now being built and I should have it by July 2022. Am Trying be hopeful..
It's an odd thing to say, the manufacturer allocate a VIN when it's about to be built and the dealer would allocate the registration when they get the vehicle.
It could be they are taking a small risk and allocating a registration as soon as they hear the correct details are available
In any event, it looks like you'll be driving a new Mokka soon.

Most likely a misunderstanding by using the word registration instead of Vin.
