Not something you want to see at 05:30 in the morning. Anyone experienced this before? Should I just wait and see what happens or get it to the dealership?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

First thing to do is disconnect the 12v battery for a few minutes.
Then reconnect and give it 20 minutes before trying again.

Reboot.
The car has no other way to turn the onboard computers off and on again so disconnecting the power is the only way.
Several issues that crop up as a one off can be resolved as simply as that. If issue persist, they could be down to a faulty 12v battery which should in theory be replaced under warranty for a new car.
The majority of new Mokkas have a quick release connector on the battery live cable.
The main issue is that in the event of a fault where one needs the key to get in they were too cheap to include a way to open the boot where the tools might be kept

Thank you for the explanation. Having driven Citroens for the past 19 years I was surprised how easy battery disconnection is on Vauxhall just disconnect, on the Citroens there is a right palarva before attempting this.

Numerous faults occur when a 12v battery has been disconnected and then reconnected.
It could be worth checking the battery cables and perhaps seeing if the 12v battery is faulty in any way.
Unfortunately what would seem straightforward can be a difficult discussion as Vauxhall appear to prefer to sidestep warranty issues as best they can.

Does this not conflict with your advice at post #2?

Same as you, took it to the garage Monday and they said they would run the diagnostic on it and then send the details off to Vauxhall to find out what to do, got a courtesy car so they aren’t getting that back until I get the car back!

We just had same problem with our mokka e ultimate but after taking out the red terminal of the battery for few seconds and put it back. It did the trick but few fault appeared quickly and disappeared after i start driving it off. All back to normal now just need to reset the time in the dashboard. Thanks for the idea of disconnecting the battery terminal. It worked well with me.

so I had a problem with my Mokka E 2 weeks ago which resulted in Vauxhall having to completely replace the on-board charger. I have had the car back a week and now I get this. Do I need to go back to the dealer again or is there a quick fix, I am beginning to feel like I have a dud here?

That error can go away after a while or a vehicle reboot by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes followed by reconnecting it and ignoring all the errors for 20 minutes as it self checks and sorts itself out.
The dealership should be able to check for faults, one if which could be an iffy 12v battery or a loose connection to it.

Enough people are seeing the error that Vx must have procedurised a fix for the dealers to make it stay away.

The newer Mokka versions have a quick release positive battery clamp so it's much easier to deal with.

I’m same situation and no curtesy car provided is in a finance I need to stop paying as no dealer ship takes responsibility or main Vauxhall customer care is dreadful to think 5 months old EV car to stop 5 times with same message now is completely dead back at their forecourt’s

Now you have explained the situation what is the present dealership's comments?

So mine finally went in to the dealer and they had it 3 days. Diagnosed a faulty 12V battery and changed. Got the same issue again tonight, using a 50Kw charger, Unplugged, put it in drive, it did drive 3 feet and the error came up and the car would not move. Called the AA and in the time it took for them to appear it cleared and drove 80 miles home! So it is clearly more than the 12V in my head - I am really not sure what to do now I really like the ev experience but my Mokka e has broken three times already and also has an error on the LCD screen with two green lines on the right hand side. Sounds very much like poor components all over, I am really unsure what to do my head tells me I need to get rid of this car and do something else?

Why not ditch the car but buy a slightly used one which has no problems.
The only issue is the short warranty.
Most EVs being sold are due to people not being able to cope with charging.

This has just happened to my Mokka-e (which is a lease through a scheme at work) and I found this forum straight away. The car has done 1345 miles (!)

It was really easy to take the +ve lead off the 12v battery with the quick release mechanism. Kept it off for 15 seconds and reconnected.

Problem solved (for now) with no loss of clock or settings.

Fortunately it happened at home, before I pulled off. Frightening hearing it's happening to people on motorways etc.

Had a similar issue car at main dealers for 4 weeks with no answer to when we will be getting it back , just got another curtasy car 4 weeks on so i guess we wont be getting the car back anytime soon. I wonder how many cars are like this ? and has anybody had a new Mokka E recently or are they on hold till they fix an issue ?

I'm still waiting for my car - 6 weeks later. First they thought they would replace the battery, then they changed their mind to a new charger. They can't source one at the moment so I've still got a courtesy car. Now they have even removed the date from their system as they have no idea when the part will arrive... Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue.

The tow truck driver that lifted ours said he had personally picked up 3 in a mater of weeks , is the problem they have not got the parts ? or is it an underlying fault on all cars ? are dealerships getting new stock of brand new cars or have they halted production of the Mokka E till they fix the problem ? this would explain way people are waiting over a year for there cars ?
