Saw my Encore (Mokka) in the dealer's shop early yesterday morning (when I brought my GMC Terrain in for a car wash). The rear bumper, spoiler, chrome hatch trim, and black body trim had been removed.

Car was ready much later in the day. No creaks, squeaks, or rattles!

Work order simply indicated that both front struts had been pulled, lubricated, and reassembled. There was no mention of all the other work to fix the creaking noises.

I asked the service writer what exactly had been done and why it wasn't indicated on the work order. He informed me that none of the work to eliminate the creaking was covered by warranty, and I didn't get a definitive answer as to what caused the creaking... only that the technicians "taped and foamed" to fix that problem. Anyway, the car had about 35 miles from test driving to isolate the creaking.

This morning, I discovered that the windscreen washers suddenly no longer work, so back to the dealership.

The dealer secret society strikes again by not giving you a full account of what they have done to your vehicle -- here in England none disclosure of work done would not be tolerated -- was everything free of charge or did they invoice you

No charge for the service. The interior had been completely detailed. Car looked like new and now is tomb quiet once again... thankfully.

Stopped by the dealership on the way to lunch and got the windscreen washer problem sorted out. Some tube had been disconnected. Five minutes and I was on my way.

Had the same creaking suspension problem (front and rear) again!!! This is the 3rd time with this issue and I only have 6500 miles on my car. Dealer kept the car for 3 days this time, and gave me a loaner (2019 Cadillac XT4 with only 38 miles on the clock).

Here's what was done to my car this time:

Front struts were removed, upper strut mounts and spring bushings were replaced, and stabilizer bushings were lubricated.

Rear shock absorber bushings were found to be "binding". Shock absorber links were removed and lubricated.

Car seems to be quiet.. for now.

Indeed, I would be inclined to agree that the very dry weather here in California may have something to do with this problem; however, the dealer states that my Buick Encore is a first to have this issue.

But, considering the car is a lease, and the dealer happily gives me a top of the range loaner... I just smile and enjoy the ride.
