Charging to 80%

Has anyone found a way of charging to a maximum of 80% automatically? Car manufacturers recommend this level to preserve the long term efficiency of the battery but I cannot find any mention in the handbook or anything in the car itself. My ID3 VW Connect as well as the in car app allows for it but Vauxhall seems to make it harder to find.

Doesn't exist for the mokka but exactly 80% is hugely misinterpreted anyway.
Different use patterns might allow different people to charge to different percentages roughly.

If you might find 60% daily allows you to comfortably get everywhere and never go bellow say 10 or 15% then that might suit you better, if you always need 80% but run things right down to 5% to make it back then charging to 90% would make more sense.
In any event you should regularly charge to 100% but avoid leaving the car at that level for longer than a day to prevent issues, 100% as displayed isn’t 100% of the battery capacity anyway but the higher you charge the slower the process becomes.
So, it depends on what you use to charge the car with as to how you can achieve a roughly 50%, roughly 80% or roughly 95% charge without too much effort but you won't need to be worried about charging too much unless you go to 100% and leave it for a number of days or go to the other extreme and leave it on a few % for a week.

What charge equipment do you have the use of?

Arfen charger installed by Hive, there are no facilities within its software to restrict to 80% but I am not surprised as it would need to communicate with any number of BEVs inbuilt software. I regularly charge to 100% anyway as the range is so poor especially in the cold weather but it flies in the face of all the "advice" given and that most public chargers reduce the charging rate beyond 80%.

Just look at the SoC see how many kWh you want to add then divide by 7.

Charge for that many hours but keep an eye on the app.

With all these problems with e.g. home charging, cables, apps, charging stations on the move, range anxiety, battery capacity, having A level maths, and most importantly paying ÂŁ39,000+ for the privilege, where is the joy in driving an electric plug in car? o_O
