We collected "Red" looking bright and shining, from the dealer on Monday 3 March, and after a meticulous hand over lasting 1hour 50minutes, It even included an accompanied test drive, the heavens opened. With my wife behind the wheel, we set off in the most atrocious conditions and headed for home. The English weather confined us to the home for the rest of the day with 8miles on the speedo.


Tuesday being in complete contrast, we covered 50 odd miles of shared driving and have found "Red" did everything required of him. 

 
 

 PS. The dealer even presented my wife with a beautiful boquet of flowers and a very large box of chocolates.

Wife had her 1st compliment about "Red" today in Sainsburys Car Park. "What a beautiful car and what is it" was the question by an elderly gent. A "Mokka" was her reply, which he followed up by asking"What's that"?Now I'm awaiting mine (car compliment that is). 1-0 to my wife

How long does it take to dictate a two word answer too include the words "tough luck". It's been over a week now and still awaiting an explanation

Vauxhall are too busy deleting every reference to the Bose system in their previously released press articles on media.vauxhall.co.uk - it's true. I emailed the PR manager yesterday about an article dated 31/5/2013 where they wrote

"Moving inside, the Mokka gains optional, state-of-the-art infotainment systems CD 600 and Navi 950. Intuitive and easy-to-use, the new systems feature a high-resolution, 7-inch colour display, where the image from the optional rear camera is also displayed. Bluetooth connectivity for both mobile and audio streaming is also available. The Navi 950 comes standard with comprehensive Europe-wide mapping and can be updated by simple download via the USB port. The Navi 950's premium Bose sound system provides punchy, clear and robust audio with six loudspeakers, a subwoofer and digital amplifier."

Today the last sentence has been deleted from that press release - the date remains the same. I'm livid.

That said, both the Bose sound system and sat-nav are standard on the cheapest Tech Line model. A reversing camera can be fitted as an optional extra.

In addition to the 1.4-litre engine and front-wheel drive, the Vauxhall Mokka can now be specified in an eye-catching Orange Rock metallic paint scheme, alongside optional 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.
