Two of the local supermarket forecourt’s have closed, Morrisons and Asda. The others have ridiculous queues. All these people are doing, is creating a problem. There’s enough fuel, just a lack of drivers to get it out. If the tv and papers hadn’t made a mountain out of a mole hill, things would be ok🤨
Petrol and diesel are not the only fuels to jump in price, gas and electricity are doing likewise. I was with Avro Energy paying £120 a month on a 12 month deal when I got my renewal notice in for £176 a month! Thought it was a bit ridiculous so went on the comparison sites and was getting quotes of £203 a month and upwards. Now Avro Energy has gone bust (with some nefarious business practices to boot) and the advice is for customers to sit tight and another supplier will be appointed. Hmmmmmm, just have to wait and see.
The army will start driving fuel tankers this week after the PM tried to calm the chaos by urging the public to 'fill up in the normal way when you really need it' as he stressed that there is no need for panic buying.
