Has anybody had any experience of waterless wash and wax products.
i.e. Greased Lightning / Ultimate Shine or similar
These appear to be much more straight forward to apply than say VX protect / Diamond Brite.
Any help / comments and recommendations would be appreciated.

Fatman,
Thank you for that link, it was a very extensive and interesting article, albeit not quite a waterless method, but certainly a product I had not heard of.

Have used greased lightening on my present car which gave good results. However not keen on using as a cleaner so I always washed the car and then applied as I really cannot see how the product can work with all the muck and grime.
I know it defeats the object but that's me being old school. Edited by: Mokkadna

Hi Seamaster
I've used Body Shield Pro sold by Pitch TV and plugged by Tiff Needell.

I have to say i was dubious about what the claimed on TV where they showed a car caked in mud, they sprayed it, cleaned and then buffed to a real nice shine. Despite my doubts i bought a 'set', when it arrived i couldn't wait to try it and come the Sunday i just couldn't bring myself to use it on the dirty car - so i washed the car traditionally and then used the Body Shield like you would a normal wax.

The finish was excellent, it buffed up to a real nice shine that even attracted comments from work colleagues. I'm a bit old fashioned and couldn't bring myself to use it everytime i cleaned my car, but washing with Autoglym shampoo the deep gloss finish is still there. I do use the Body Shield on the windows every 6 weeks or so, it's great for helping water bead off and improve visibility.

Also great on the alloys, apply every 6-8 weeks and buff, cleaning them becomes a breeze.

My Mokka is due to be delivered on Monday (can't wait) and it will be getting the Body Shield Pro treatment as soon as i have time.

I don't work for Pitch TV, Body Shield Pro and i'm not Tiff Needell - i just like the stuff.

Not sure that's neccessarily my scene, but saying that i've never been to one of these - maybe an overweight 45 year old should try it just once! What could possibly go wrong?

Fatman,
Thank you for the invite, but its about 220 miles for me to get there, so a bit far I think.

Thank you all for your comments so far.
I think I may opt for the suggestion that a couple of people have made, of cleaning the car first and then using the waterless wax as protection / shine.

Saemaster have a look on there websitehttp://www.autobritedirect.co.uk

I use this as a top up after i have washed anddried.http://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/polishing-prep-waxing/quick-detailing-sprays-gloss-enhancers/berry-blast-quick-detailing-spray.html

My friend has given me one bottle of this to tryhttp://www.autobritedirect.co.uk/index.php/polishing-prep-waxing/quick-detailing-sprays-gloss-enhancers/project-32-paint-sealing-gloss-enhancing-spray-sealant-1.html

I found the Project 32 gave me more of a shine but the berry blast was more durable and lasted longer.
