I ordered a Mokka on the 16th of November with estimated
delivery on the 21/02/13.

I have now been told that delivery will now be in March, which is acceptable.

I inquired if there would be any change to the trade in
allowance for my existing car and was told that this could be reduced by up to £300. This has to be confirmed, but
obviously I'm not happy, to the extent that I am checking through the order
form, to see what my cancellation rights, and the return of my deposit are.

Has any one else been told that their trade in value will be
reduced?. This is after all caused by Vauxhall's inability to meet its
production targets.

Hi Plug,
I placed my order in Sept and was told my Mokka would be available in Jan. I too wanted to trade-in and offered my zafira as part-ex. My dealer took into account the delivery date and offered me a trade-in value based on what the price of my Zafira would be in Jan. This met with my projected value hence the reason why I placed my order

My dealer was fine with delivery date and didnt want my car sooner or anything (good job as I used to borrow one of the two cars my parents had but they've gone down to one car lol).... Some can be funny with trade in values but end of the day not your fault it takes them 4 months to get a car sorted is it?

My dealer priced my part ex for a March price which has been included on the order form in black and white.
He also said even if i do a private sale of the car then he would be happy for me to just pay the cash that was quoted for the part ex. may put a few extra £££s in my pocket for a tank of fuel and insurance increase etc.

I don't know how my dealer worked it out, but they gave me a price for my Astra and all the paperwork I have include that given price (as well as deposit and other extras). They know the mileage I do each month, so as far as I'm concerned that's the deal done and I pay the rest owing upon delivery.

Just turning into a nause that I'm having to wait so long.

Hi,i ordered my mokka in mid august withdelivery supposed to be in december, have now been told the expected delivery date is now the 11th january!,im not happy, but what can you do.Asfar as the trade in value is concerned,i was never completely happy with the price i got,so have now sold it back to the dealer, that i bought it from, giving me £1000 more than the trade in price!(it was a ford fiesta).I also read on the forum about the £500 free fuel, when i ordered my mokka in august,+ was told the del date was going to be december,i got the manager to write on the order form, that if any further incentives came along before i took delivery, that they would honour it.I now have £500 free fuel, when i get my baby!!!!!!!!!!!,happy days!

As far as i am concerned the price I was offered for my Astra is the price I will get regardless of when I receive my Mokka as my paperwork has an expected delivery date of Jan and if that slips it is not my fault its Vauxhalls. To be honest that is a question I would never ask of any car dealer as that seems to be playing right in to their hands giving them theopportunity to take even more money of off me!!!!

Update

The dealer was going to reduce my trade in value by £300.
Did not seem to be any flexibility, so I cancelled my order.

They lost £19500 of business over £300, must be sure they
can resell the car.

I have been fully refunded my deposit

Shame it's a nice car, but there you go.

This is my last post on the forum

Hope you enjoy your cars when you get them.

I think I gave my dealer enough time for an expected delivery. Said I wanted it for the 1st of March back when I ordered it on November 17th. 3 and a half months is long enough to wait.

Shame Plugs leaving us, good luck with the next car/dealer you choose to buy/use.
