Does anyone know what the differences are between the Navi 600 & 900 and whether its possible to upgrade via software or is it a different hardware unit?

I seem to think the Navi 900 has 3d maps and full voice control where as the 600 has 2d maps and only phone voice control.

Also audible alerts/myPOIs announcements are unavailable on the 600.
Not that I would need safety camera warnings,
having just been on a speed awareness course.

mine is also navi 600 but i cant figure out how to enable the front collision alert, lane departure warning and the traffic sign assist. i was thinking its on navi 900. i have a front camera and satnav. and also the satnav doesn't say the speed limit unlike in garmin.

i have read the manual from top to bottom also the pdf version of it from opel. lol. the dealer says it might need upgrade or something. ill try to go to vauxhall this weekend.

I emailed navteq and vcs about upgrading and whether sd card from 900 would work in 600. Navteq said to contact vauxhall amd vcs said to contact my dealer so I don't think they know themselves.

Would be good if someone has sd from 900 can try it in 600 and let us know if it works.

Hi, I use a 900 card (complete Europe) in a Mokka navi 600 and it works fine.
Don't know however how to change to 3d.
Hey FireEye37,

Can you confirm if audible alerts/my POIs are voiced?

I also use the 900 card, and can confirm it does not change the functionality of the 600 i.e. you cannot get audible alerts for POI's (and I have added speed camera's to mine), you cannot get the '3d' display.

Bought the full Europe SD card for the Navi900 on Monday.

Got an email from Navteq telling me that the SD card will work from the Navi900 in the Navi600 if anyone wanted confirmation.

It only took them 3 weeks to respond to my question.

VSC said they arent compatible so I think I need to enlighten them. Edited by: Ixasio
