Font parking sensors always showing obstacle

Hello,
The front parking sensors on my 2016 Mokka X constantly show an obstacle in the front of the car even when nothing is there. I would still say it's intermittent but it happens more often than not now it only appears to be the middle of the three bars that are fully red so I'm guessing it's to do with the two central sensors on the car.

I've tried cleaning the area but to no avail, is it likely that these will need to be replaced and if so how complex is it to do (or is it a trip to the garage) / is there anything else I can try before replacing the sensors?

Edit: Just to add to this, when it does get blocked it will stay on for a few seconds before a note on the dash pops up and says "Park assist blocked, consult owners manual" which I did, but it doesn't mention anything about it..

Thanks

Had very similar problem. Front two centre sensors permanently on when temperature was above 18 deg c. Cause was due to alloy number plate being fitted by garage which interfered with sensors when it heated up and expanded into field of view. Garage ( Drive Vauxhall main dealer) changed plate under warranty & said they had seen a number of these faults before. No problems since.
