Hi

I have a 62 plate mokka 1.7 diesel 69k, car has been great. But now I get a issue where vehicle starts cold fine but for example if I pop to shop around a mile away and then come back to car a few minutes later it doesn’t start well very crunchy, eventually does get going but then the clutch is weird for first depression either rock hard or stays down, after that it works fine. Could it be clutch, flywheel or maybe fuel issue?

I have a 63 plate Mokka diesel which has the same problem as you BUT the clutch is fine no issues, just very erratic firing when it is hot never cold. Been on several forums but do not have a definitive answer.
It also does it whether the auto start is on or off but not every time

There are dozens of threads on this, with several solutions. The most common being either a battery replacement and/or Dual Mass Flywheel replacement. Example
