Hi, Having purchased a 63 plate Mokka i find somebody has fitted a grey boot sill protector . This looks great, trouble is its catching on the edges of the bottom of the boot lid and fetching paint off. It would be nice to take off and either leave off or position differently but not sure how these are fastened on . It seems pretty well stuck to me

. Something will have to be done else rust will set in . Any advice please .

They are usually stuck on with double sided tape, a plastic one will flex more and come away easier than a metal one, careful use of a hot air gun/hairdryer to warm it will help, but chances are it's covering up damage and might damage the paint pulling it away, so you might want to get a new one that fits better.

Yeah as above -- most likely hiding some form of damage -- personally -- I'm not a fan of these protectors and take care when putting stuff in or taking out of boot but accidents do happen and I would get the bumper professionally repaired before I would fit one of those protection plates - just my view

I've also been considering the options to protect the top edge of the rear bumper ....
The bumper has been slightly marked with transferring goods in and out of the boot.

Ideally I would want a BLACK protector to blend with the black (plastic) bumper ...
I am considering using a black "carbon fibre" vinyl sticker that can be replaced when needed.
Can be trimmed to any shape to fit the curve of the bumper !!
