It should work, it took me a while to work it out when I first got my car

Did your dealer not explain to you how it worked.
Must admit that I do not use it a great deal at his time of year but......... as the dark nights draw in. When I have used it it has worked a treat. No one flashes you if you inadvertently forget to switch your main beam down, which we have all done at some time or another.

The only problem is when you're on a dual carriageway with a central reservation where the auto beam kicks in and is fairly late to switch off with a car coming in the opposite direction.

Not been on a dual carriageway in the dark yet. Will have to remember to check for that.
